The Age of Autonomous Exploration

This film explores the projection of the colonial imaginary off-planet using autonomous agents. It was filmed at a testing site for planetary rovers endowed with artificial intelligence. Gliding just above the ground, the film captures near-infrared wavelengths of light beyond human vision, producing an expanded spectral view between humans and machines.

The soundtrack was developed from an audio recording made in the “crypt” of Casa Colon, Gran Canaria, containing replicas of artifacts from the Museum of Anthropology, Mexico City
