The performative act Wilson presents in Fractal Feedback of Self is one which exploits a property of media technology: feedback loops. Feedback is created when the system's output is returned to the system as input. By placing himself in this system, Wilson creates a fractal image of himself across both time and space, an image evocative both visually and conceptually of mystical notions of the self.
